٢١٢ - أحمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن ابراهيم-الشهاب-أبو العباس بن الجمال: المصري الأصل، المدني الحنفي، جد عبد الغني الموجود الآن، المؤذن كأسلافه، والمؤذن بالمدينة النبوية، كان أفضل بني أمية، ممن تفقه على مذهب أبي حنيفة، وجد في الطلب، واجتهد، وشارك في فنون، قاله ابن فرحون، قال: وهو اليوم من أعيان جماعة المؤذنين، قلت: وقد روى الموطأ عن الوادياشي، سمعه عليه الجمال الكازروني، وسمع أيضا سنة ثلاث وستين على العفيف المطري الجزء الذي خرجه له الذهبي من حديثه، وكان فقيها، وله ذكر في أبيه، وهو والد عبد العزيز أبي عمر الآتيين.
