    ٩٨٨ - مَرْوَان بن عَليّ بن سَلامَة بن مَرْوَان الطنزي بِفَتْح الطَّاء الْمُهْملَة وَسُكُون النُّون وَفِي آخرهَا الزَّاي نِسْبَة إِلَى طنزة وَهِي قَرْيَة من ديار بكر يكنى أَبَا عبد الله ورد بَغْدَاد وتفقه على الْغَزالِيّ والشاشي وَسمع من طراد الزَّيْنَبِي ورزق الله التَّمِيمِي وَغَيرهمَا ثمَّ عَاد إِلَى بَلَده واتصل بِالْملكِ زنكي بن آق سنقر صَاحب الْموصل وَصَارَ وزيرا لَهُ وَحدث روى عَنهُ الْحَافِظ ابْن عَسَاكِر وَغَيره توفّي بعد سنة أَرْبَعِينَ وَخَمْسمِائة
