    ٣٧٠ - إِسْمَاعِيل بن الْفضل أَبُو مُحَمَّد الفضيلي وَالِد الإِمَام أبي عَاصِم الصَّغِير الْهَرَوِيّ ذكره أَبُو النَّصْر عبد الرَّحْمَن الْهَرَوِيّ فِي تَارِيخه فَقَالَ هُوَ الْفَحْل المقرم وَالْإِمَام الْمُقدم فِي فنون الْفضل وأنواع الْعلم توفّي سنة ثَمَان وَثَمَانِينَ وَأَرْبَعمِائَة والفضيلي بِضَم الْفَاء وَفتح الضَّاد الْمُعْجَمَة وَسُكُون الْيَاء آخر الْحُرُوف فِي آخرهَا اللَّام نِسْبَة إِلَى الفضيل اسْم جده وَالله تَعَالَى أعلم
