    ٧٢٣ - محمد بن على البجلى القيروانى المغربى. من أكابر الشافعية، تفقه على الربيع موسى بن إسحاق الخطمى قاضى نيسابور أحد من حدث في الدنيا عن قالون، وسمع الإمام أحمد وغيره، ومات سنة سبع وتسعين ومائتين وقد قارب التسعين، كان لا يرى متبسمًا قط فقالت له يومًا زوجته: إنه لا يحل لك أن تحكم بين الناس فإنَّ النبى ﷺ قال: "لا يحل للقاضى أن يقضى وهو غضبان" (١) فتبسَّم.
