يوسف بن يعقوب القاضي أبو محمد الأزدي بن عم إسماعيل القاضي ولي قضاء البصرة وواسط سمع في صغره من مسلم بن إبراهيم وسليمان بن حرب وطبقتهما وصنف السنن وكان حافظاً ديناً عفيفاً مهيباً. توفي سنة سبع وتسعين ومائتين.
