مروان أبو عبد الملك بن علي البوني أندلسي الأصل سكن بونة من بلاد إفريقية وكان من الفقهاء المتفننين ذكره صاحب الصلة أخذ عن أبي محمد الأصيلي والقاضي أبي المطرف وعبد الرحمن بن فطيس وأخذ عن أبي الحسن القابسي وأحمد بن نصر الداودي. وكان رجلاً حافظاً فذاً في الفقه والحديث وكان رجلاً صالحاً مات قبل الأربعين وأربعمائة. وله تأليف في شرح الموطأ مشهور حسن رواه عنه حاتم الطرابلسي وابن الحذاء.
