محمد بن أحمد بن محمد بن يحيى بن مفرج الأموي مولاهم القرطبي الحافظ محدث الأندلس يكنى أبا عبد الله رحل وسمع أبا سعيد بن الأعرابي وخيثمة وقاسم بن أصبغ وطبقتهم وكان أبو عبد الله وافر الحرمة عند صاحب الأندلس صنف له عدة كتب فولاه القضاء. توفي سنة ثمانين وثلاثمائة وله ست وستون سنة.
