محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن سعيد بن أحمد بن سعيد بن زرقون الأنصاريالإشبيلي كنيته أبو الحسن شيخ المالكية وكان من كبار المتعصبين للمذهب فأوذي من جهة بني عبد المؤمن ولما أبطلوا القياس وألزموا الناس بالأثر والظاهر صنف كتاب المعلى في الرد على المحلى لابن حزم. توفي في شوال سنة إحدى وعشرين وسبعمائة - وله يومئذ ثلاث وثمانون سنة - رحمه الله تعالى.
