محمد أبو عبد الله بن سليمان بن خليفة ولي قضاء بلده وكان من أهل العلم والنظر وألف كتابه في شرح الموطأ سماه كتاب المحلى عرض على الفقيه أبي المطرف الشعبي فأمر أن يجعلعلى الحا نقطة من فوق ولم ينفق هذا الكتاب عند الناس ولا وقع منهم باستحسان. روى عنه أبو إسحاق. وكان من أهل العلم وولي الشورى بإشبيلية ثم أسقط عنها. وتوفي أبو عبد الله سنة خمسمائة. ومن الطبقة الثالثة عشرة من أهل الأندلس:
