علي بن محمد بن منصور بن المنير يلقب زين الدين هو أخو القاضي ناصر الدين بن المنير ولي القضاء بعد أخيه بالإسكندرية وقرأ الفقه على أخيه ناصر الدين وعلى أبي عمرو بن الحاجب وكان بعض أكابر العلماء يفضله على أخيه ناصر الدين وإن كان أخوه ناصر الدين أشهر منه. وله شرح على البخاري في عدة أسفار لم يعمل على البخاري مثله: يذكر الترجمة ويورد عليها أسئلة مشكلة حتى يقال: لا يمكن الانفصال عنها ثم يجيب عن ذلك ثم يتكلم على فقه الحديث ومذاهب العلماء ثم يرجح المذهب ويفرع.وكان ممن له أهلية الترجيح والاجتهاد في مذهب مالك. كذا ذكره شهاب الدين بن هلال. ولم أقف على وفاته رحمه الله تعالى.
