علي بن صالح بن أبي الليث: الأسعد بن الفرج بن يوسف: طرطوشي ويعرف بابن عز الناس كان عالماً بالفقه حافظاً لمسائله متقدماً في علم الأصول ثاقب الذهب ذكي الفؤاد بارع الاستنباط مسدد النظر متوقد الخاطر فصيح العبارة. أخذ عن أبي محمد بن الطفيل روى عن أبي بكر بن العربي وأبي القاسم بن ورد وأبي الوليد بن رشد. روى عنه جماعة من الجلة وله مصنفات منها: كتاب العزلة وشرح معاني التحية مولده سنة ثمان وخمسمائة وتوفي سنة ست وستين وخمسمائة.
