    علي بن عمر بن إبراهيم بن عبد الله الكناني القيجاطي يكنى: أبا الحسن كان رحمه الله تعالى أوحد زمانه علماً وتخلقاً وتواضعاً وتفنناً وقعد بمسجد غرناطة الأعظم يقرئ فنوناً من العلم: من قراءة وفقه وعربية وأدب وولي الخطابة وناب عن بعض القضاة بالحضرة مشكور المأخذ حسن السيرة عظيم النفع وقصده الناس وأخذ عنه البعيد والقريب وكان أديباً لوذعياً وله تآليف في فنون. توفي عام ثلاثين وسبعمائة رحمه الله تعالى.
