علي أبو الحسن بن أحمد بن زكريا بن الخطيب يعرف بابن زكرون طرابلسي سمع من أبي عبد الله الجيزي وابن المنذر وابن شعبان وابن الأعرابي وابن الجارود. روى عنه أبو الحسن القابسي وأبو علي الحسن بن المثنى قاضي طرابلس وعبدوس بن محمد الطليطلي وغيرهم من العلماء وانتفع به أهل طرابلس وتعلموا منه الفقه والحديث والنسك وكان قد صحب جماعة من النساك وكان رجلاً صالحاً متعبداً ناسكاً له في الفقه والفرائض والحديث والرقائق تآليف كثيرة. أقام خمسين سنة لم يحلف بالله تعالى. توفي سنة سبعين وثلاثمائة. ومن الثامنة - من أهل العراق:
