عبيد الله أبو الحسن بن المنتاب بن الفضل بن أيوب البغدادي ويعرف بالكرابيسي أيضاً كذا ذكره جماعة منهم الأبهري وهو الصواب وقيل في اسمه غير هذا قاضي مدينة النبي ﷺ وعداده في البغداديين من أصحاب القاضي إسماعيل وبه تفقه وله كتاب في مسائل الخلاف والحجة لمالك نحو مائتي جزء وقيل إنه ولي قضاء مكة وقيل: تولىالقضاء بالشام أيضاً وهو من شيوخ المالكيين وفهماء أصحاب مالك وحذاقهم ونظارهم وحفاظهم وأئمة مذهبهم روى عنه أبو القاسم الشافعي وأبو إسحاق بن شعبان وأبو الفرج وغيرهم. ومن السابعة من العراق والمشرق:
