عبد الله الشنتجالي أبو محمد بن سعيد الشنتجالي الشيخ الصالح العالم رحل إلى المشرق وجاور بمكة بضعاً وثلاثين سنة واشتهر هناك وانتفع به وحصل على منزلة رفيعة في النسك والخير سمع من أبي بكر المطوعي وأبي ذر الهروي وأبي عبد الله الوشا وانصرف إلى الأندلس سنة ثلاث وثلاثين راغباً في الجهاد فلم يزل مثابراً عليه في الثغور والناس يأخذون عنه خلال ذلك حدث عنه خلق كثير وآخر من حدث عنه بالإجازة أبو محمد بن عتاب وله مختصر في الفقه مشهور. توفي سنة ست وثلاثين وأربعمائة.
