سعيد بن حميد بن عبد الرحمن الرعيني يكنى أبا عثمان قرطبي وقيل حميد بن مروان بن سالم الموالي يكنى بأبي زيد سمع من بن أبي زيد بن إبراهيم وعبد الله بن خالد ويحيى بن هارون ورحل فسمع من يونس ومحمد بن عبد الحكم وابن وهب وإبراهيم بن مروان ونصر بن مرزوق والمزني ونظرائهم كان عالماً فقيهاً فاضلاً ورعاً مقدماً في الشورى روى عنه بن المشاط والأعناقي وابن أيمن وابن عبادة وغيرهم وكان مستجاب الدعوة. توفي سنة إحدى وثلاثين وثلاثمائة مولده سنة ثلاثين ومائتين.
