ثابت بن عبد الله بن ثابت العوفي يكنى أبا الحسن كان من أهل العلم والعمل بارعاً في الفقه مضطلعاً بالأحكام ولي القضاء بسرقسطة وخرج عنها عند تغلب العدد عليها فاستوطن قرطبة ومن تصانيفه كتاب الدلائل وهو كتاب شهير. توفي بغرناطة سنة أربع عشرة وخمسمائة رحمة الله تعالى عليه.
