إبراهيم بن حسن بن إسحاق التونسي تفقه بأبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن وأبي عمران الفاسي ودرس الأصول على الأزدي وكان جليلاً فاضلاً عالماً إماماً وبه تفقه جماعة من أهل إفريقية عبد الحق وغيره. وله شروح حسنة وتعاليق مستعملة متنافس فيها على كتاب بن المواز والمدونة وفيه يقول عبد الجليل الديباجي: حاز الشريفين من علم ومن عمل ... وقلما يتأتى العلم والعمل وكان أبو إسحاق رحمه الله تعالى يقول في التدمية إنها لا تجب حتى يكون بالمجروح جرح لا يفعله أحد بنفسه. وتوفي أبو إسحاق مبتدأ الفتنة بالقيروان. ومن أهل سبتة:
