أحمد بن وليد بن محمد بن وليد بن مروان أبو جعفر بن أبي جمرة روى عن أبيه وتفقه به وبغيره وكان من بيت علم وجلالة ودين معرضاً عن الدنيا كثير العمل يتصدق بجل ماله إلا ما يقيم أوده وله في الفقه فتاوى حفظت عنه وتزهد ورحل إلى المشرق فأدى فرض الحج ولما قفل إلى بلده أقبل على نشر العلم وبثه وتدريسه إلى أن توفي سنة أربع وأربعين وأربعمائة.
