أحمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن أحمد بن رشد قرطبي أبو القاسم روى عن أبيه: أبي الوليد الحفيد وأبي القاسم بن بشكوال. روى عنه أبو القاسم بن الطيلسان. وكان من بيت علم وجلالة ونباهة وحسب في بلده فقيهاً حافظاً بصيراً بالأحكام يقظاً ذكي الذهن سري الهمة كريم الطبع حسن الخلق: ولي القضاء فحمدت سيرته. توفي سنة ثنتين وعشرين وستمائة رحمه الله تعالى.
