أحمد بن الحسين بن عمر الحضرمي ثم المرادي غرناطي أبو المجد من ذرية الإمام أبي بكر المرادي الأصولي. روى عن أبيه وأبي عبد الله بن عياض وغيرهما وكان فقيهاً حافظاً ذاكراً للنوازل بصيراً بالفتوى متقدماً في علم الكلام وأصول الفقهسنياً فاضلاً متين الدين صناع اليدين خيراً خطب زماناً بجامع قصبة غرناطة القديمة وكف بصره في آخر عمره. مولده بغرناطة سنة خمس وسبعين وخمسمائة وتوفي بها عقب شوال سنة إحدى وخمسين وستمائة رحمه الله تعالى.
