أحمد بن حسن بن سليمان بلنسي روى عن أبي بحر: سفيان بن العاصي الأسدي وأبي بكر بن العربي وأبي الحجاج بن علي القضاعي وكان فقيهاً حافظاً للمسائل بصيراً بعقد الشروط ذا عناية برواية الحديث وحظ من قرض الشعر وكتب بخطه علماً كثيراً وكانت فيه لوثة. توفي سنة سبع وأربعين وخمسمائة أو نحوها رحمه الله تعالى.
