أحمد بن سعيد بن إبراهيم الهمذاني المعروف بابن الهندي قال بن حيان: كان واحد عصره في علم الشروط أقر له بذلك فقهاء الأندلس طراً وله في ذلك كتاب مفيد جامع يحتوي على علم كثير وعليه اعتماد الموثقين والحكام بالأندلس والمغرب سلك فيه الطريق الواضح. توفيسنة تسع وتسعين وثلاثمائة رحمه الله تعالى.
