    أحمد بن دحيم بن خليل من الطبقة الخامسة من الأندلس قرطبي يكنى أبا عمر. سمع من الأعناقي وابن لبابة وابن الأعرابي والبغوي وابن صاعد وغيرهم من آفاق البلاد وسمع من جماعة من الكبار كالمعيطي وابن السليم القاضي وغيرهما. وكان معتنياً بالآثار جامعاً للسنن من أهل الحفظ والرواية مشهوراً بالعلم تقياً فقيهاً حافظاً لمذهب مالك. ولي الشورى ثم قضاء طليطلة ثم قضاء ألبيرة وغيرهما. توفي سنة ثمان وثلاثين وثلاثمائة مولده سنة ثمان وسبعين ومائتين.
