٧٢ - أحمد بن أبي داود بن جرير بن مالك بن عبد الله بن عباد بن سلام بن مالك بن عبد هند قال الذهبي جهمي بغيض هلك سنة أربعين ومائتين قلما روى له مع المعتصم أخبار مأثورة وكان قد ولاه القضاء بالعراق وأصابه فالج سنة ثلاث وثلاثين ومائتين فولى مكانه ولده أبو الوليد محمد فأستمر على القضاء إلى سنة تسع وثلاثين فسخط المتوكل على القاضي وولده وأخذ من الولد مائة ألف وعشرين ألف دينار وجوهرا بأربعين ألف دينار وفوض القضاء إلى يحيى بن أكثم
