    ٦٢٦ - يحيى بن عثمان القرشي البصري قال (٣): لم أعرفه، روى عن أنس، وبقية رجاله رجال الصحيح، قلت -يعني الهيثمي-: ذكر ابن حبان في "الثقات": يحيى بن عثمان القرشي، ولكنه ذكره في الطبقة الثالثة. قلت: الاسم مُحَرَّف، وصوابه: محمَّد بن عثمان، وهو ابن سيار، ويقال: ابن سنان القرشي البصري الميسري، سكن واسط، وقد جاء اسمه على الصواب عند البخاري في "الكبير" (٤)، لما روى له حديثه هذا. ومحمد هذا من رجال "التهذيب" (٥).
