    ٤٨٤ - محمد بن راشد الأصبهاني قال (٩): لم أجد محمد بن راشد الأصبهاني شيخ الطبراني. قلت: هو محمد بن أحمد بن راشد بن معدان بن عبد الرحيم، أبو بكر،مولى ثقيف، قاله المزّي فيمن روى عن الهيثم بن مروان -شيخه في هذا الحديث- من "تهذيبه" (١)، وأبو نعيم الأصبهاني لما ترجم له في "أخبار أصبهان" (٢) وقال: مُحَدِّث ابن مُحَدِّث، كثير التصانيف والحديث. وقال أبو الشيخ (٣): أكثرهم تصنيفاً، وأكثرهم حديثاً، كتبنا عنه ما لم نكتب عن غيره، وكان مُحَدِّثاً وأبوه مُحَدِّث. وقال الذهبي (٤): الإمام الحافظ المصنِّف. وقال ابن عبد الهادي (٥): الحافظ الرَّحَّال.
