    ٤٥٦ - المثنَّى بن ماوي أبو المنازل قال (٤): ذكره ابن أبي حاتم ولم يضعفه ولم يوثقه. قلت: ترجم له البخاري في "الكبير" (٥)، وابن حبان في "الثقات" (٦)، ولكنهما سمياه: ابن مازن. قال الدارقطني (٧)، وابن ماكولا (٨): والصواب: مثنى بن ماوي. قلت: وهكذا ترجم له ابن أبي حاتم في "الجرح والتعديل" (٩)، وابن ناصر الدين في "توضيح المشتبه" (١٠)، وغيرهما. وقد صَحَّح له ابن حبان حديثه (١١).
