    ٤٤٢ - القاسم، والد عثمان قال (٨): لم أعرفه. قلت: اسمه تَصَحَّفَ عليه فلم يعرفه، وصوابه: الهيثم، كما جاء عند الطبراني في "الأوسط" (٩)، وفيه: الهيثم بن جهم. ترجم له ابن أبي حاتم في "الجرح والتعديل" (١٠)، وقال: والد عثمان بن الهيثم المؤذّن، روى عن عاصم بن بهدلة -شيخه في هذا الحديث- روى عنه ابنه عثمان بن الهيثم -وهو راوي حديثه هذا عنه - سالت أبي عنه؟ فقال: لم أرَ في حديثه مكروهاً.وذكره ابن حبان في كتابه "الثقات" (١).
