    ٧٥٦٣- اللجلاج الغطفانيّ: أخرج أبو العبّاس السّراج في تاريخه، والخطيب في المتفق من مشيخة شيخه يعقوب بن سفيان في ترجمة شيخه محمد بن أبي أسامة الحلبي، عن قيس: سمعت عبد الرحمن بن العلاء بن اللجلاج، عن أبيه، عن جده، قال: ما ملأت بطني منذ أسلمت مع رسول اللَّه ﵌، قال: وكان عاش مائة وعشرين سنة، خمسين في الجاهلية وسبعين في الإسلام. وذكر العسكري عكس ذلك أنه وفد وهو ابن سبعين، وعاش بعد ذلك خمسين. وقال أبو الحسن بن سميع: اللجلاج والد العلاء غطفاني.
