    يَحْيَى بن مَرْزُوق (٠٠٠ - نحو ٢٢٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٨٣٥ م) يحيى بن مزروق المكيّ، من الموالي: أديب، من المغنين المشهورين. نشأ بمكة في العصر الأموي. وعاش طويلا، فكان له في العصر العباسي شأن. وأقام ببغداد، فاتصل بالمهديّ وغيره من الخلفاء، وصنف كتابا في " الأغاني " جمع فيه نحو ثلاثة آلاف صوت، أهداه إلى عبد الله بن طاهر. وتوفي ببغداد (٢) .
