    مُلْحِم الشِّهابي (١٢٣٦ - ١٢٩٦ هـ = ١٨٢٠ - ١٨٧٩ م) ملحم بن حيدر الشهابي: فاضل، من أمراء الشهابيين في لبنان. ولد ونشأ في الشويفات. وتفقه وتأدب. ونظم (أرجوزة) في الفقه. وسجن أربعة أشهر بتهمة المشاركة في (حادثة ١٨٦٠) المعروفة. وظهرت براءته، فنصب مديرا لناحية الشوف سنة ١٢٨٠ - ١٢٨٩ وتوفي بالشويفات (٢) .
