    محمد الطّنبوري ( ... - ٢٥٠ هـ) ( ... - ٨٦٥ م) محمد بن علي بن أمية المعروف بالطنبوري، ويلقب أبا حشيشة. شاعر، موسيقي. كان يقول الشعر ويلحنه ويغني به. غنى المأمون العباسي وغيره من الخلفاء، ومدح المتوكل، وتوفي في حدود سنة ٢٥٠ هـ (١). من آثاره: أخبار الطنبورين، والمغني المجيد.
