محمد بن أم شيبان (٢٩٤ - ٣٦٩ هـ) (٩٠٦ - ٩٧٩ م) محمد بن صالح بن علي بن يحيى بن عبد الله الهاشمي، العباسي، الكوفي،ثم البغدادي (ابو الحسن) من القضاة اصله من الكوفة، وولد يوم عاشوراء وولي قضاء بغداد وجمع له قضاء مصر وبعض الشام، فبعث نوابه اليها، وسمع الكثير، وحدث، وكان واسع العلم، حسن التصنيف، وتوفي ببغداد في جمادى الاولى.
