    محمد بن العميد ( ... - ٣٦٠ هـ) ( ... - ٩٧١ م) محمد بن الحسين بن محمد، المعروف بابن العميد (ابو الفضل) اديب، كاتب شاعر، لغوي، حكيم، فلكي، سياسي من الوزراء. ولي الوزارة لركن الدولة البويهي، وقصد جماعة من الشعراء فأجازهم ومدحه المتنبي فوهبه ثلاثة آلاف دينار، وبه تخرج عضد الدولة البويهي، ومنه تعلم سياسة الملك ومحبة العلم والعلماء، وتوفي بهمذان وله نيف وستين سنة (٣)(ط) الصفدي: الوافي ٢: ٣٨١ - ٣٨٣، محمد كرد علي: امراء البيان ٢: ٥٤٦ - ٥٧٠، خليل مردم: ابن العميد، الزركلي: الأعلام ٦: ٣٢٨، عباس قمي: فوائد الرضوية ٥٢١ - ٥٢٨ (م) انيس نصر: العصبة ٦٨٤ - ٦٩١
