محمد الاشتياني (١٢٤٨ - ١٣١٩ هـ) (١٨٣٢ - ١٩٠١ م) محمد حسن بن جعفر بن محمد الاشتياني الطهراني. فقيه، اصولي. ولد في اشتيان (١) في حدود سنة ١٢٤٨ هـ، ونشأ بها، ثم هاجر الى بروجرد فأتقن بها علوم العربية، ثم هاجر الى النجف، وعاد الى طهران، وتوفي بها، وحمل الى النجف فدفن في مقبرة جعفر التستري من آثاره: حاشية كبيرة على الرسائل سماها بحر الفوائد، مباحث الألفاظ في الاصول، الخلل في الفقه، الوقف واحياء الموات والاجارة، وازالة الشكوك عن حكم اللباس المشكوك.
