محمد بن الجندي (٧٦٥ - ٨٤٤ هـ) (١٣٦٤ - ١٤٤٠ م) محمد بن أبي بكر بن آيدغي بن عبد الله القاهري، الحنفي، المعروف بابن الجندي (شمس الدين) فقيه، أصولي، فرضي، حاسب، بياني، نحوي. ولد بالقاهرة تقريبا سنة ٧٦٥ هـ، ونشأ بها، وتوفي في مستهل المحرم. من تصانيفه: مقدمة في العربية سماها منتهى الجمع في شرح منتهى السمع كلاهما له، مقدمة في الفرائض، مختصر في المعاني والبيان، مختصر مغني اللبيب لابن هشام.
