محمد القطيعي (٥٤٦ - ٦٣٤ هـ) (١١٥١ - ١٢٣٦ م) محمد بن أحمد بن عمر بن حسين بن خلف البغدادي، القطيعي (ابو الحسن) محدث، مؤرخ. ولد ببغداد في رجب ولازم ابن الجوزي مدة، وقرأ عليه كثيرا من تصانيفه، وسمع من غيره ببغداد والموصل ودمشق وغيرها، وتوفي ببغداد في ربيع الآخر. من آثاره: تاريخ بغداد (١).
