محمد بن شنبوذ ( ... - ٣٢٨ هـ) ( ... - ٩٤٠ م) محمد بن أحمد بن أيوب بن الصلت المعروف بابن شنبوذ (أبو الحسن) مقرىء، كثير الحديث، من أهل بغداد. انفرد بشواذ كان يقرأ بها في المحراب، وعلمالوزير ابن مقلة بأمره فأحضره وأحضر بعض القراء فناظروه، فنسبهم الى الجهل واغلظ للوزير، فأمر بضربه، ونفي إلى المدائن، وتوفي ببغداد. من آثاره: اختلاف القراء، وشواذ القراءات.
