    محمد الكعبي (١٢٤٠ (١) - ١٣٢٥ هـ) (١٨٢٥ - ١٩٠٧ م) محمد سليمان بن نوح الغريبي (٢)، الكعبي (٣) ، الأهوازي الاصل، الحلي المعروف بالشيخ حماد بن نوح. شاعر، لغوي. أخذ عن مهدي بن داود الحلي وحسن الفلوجي، وخرج الى الاهواز والجزائر، واقام بالنجف وكان صاحب حانوت بالحلة يبيع البر ويجتمع اليه الادباء والشعراء يتناشدون اشعارهم، وتوفي بالحلة في ٢٣ صفر وحمل الى النجف فدفن فيه. من آثاره: ديوان شعر يزيد على ٩٣٠٠ بيت. (ط) العاملي: أعيان الشيعة ٤٥: ١٦٦ - ١٨١
