غيث الارمنازي (٤٤٣ - ٥٠٩ هـ) (١٠٥١ - ١١١٥ م) غيث بن علي بن عبد السلام بن محمد بن جعفر الصوري، المعروف بابن الارمنازي (ابو الفرج) مؤرخ. اصله من ارمناز، ورحل الى صور فكان خطيبها ومحدثها، ثم رحل الى دمشق، وتوفي بها في ٢٣ صفر، ودفن بمقبرة باب الصغير. من آثاره: تاريخ دمشق، وتاريخ صور.
