علي بن البوّاب ( ... - ٤١٣ هـ) (١) ( ... - ١٠٢٢ م) علي بن هلال البغدادي، المعروف بابن البواب (ابو الحسن) فاضل، عالم بالخط، ناظم. اخذ الخط في حداثته عن محمد بن اسد ثم عن محمد السمسماني، ثم جمع خطوط محمد بن مقلة في النسخ والثلث الذين قبلهما من الخط الكوفي ونقحها وصححها ووجهها، وتوفي ببغداد. من آثاره: القصيدة الرائية استقصى فيها ادوات الكتابة.
