علي الباب (١٢٣٥ - ١٢٦٥ هـ) (١٨١٩ - ١٨٤٧ م) علي محمد بن رضا البزاز. مؤسس البابية التي هي أصل البهائية. ولد بمدينة شيراز، وتعلم ونشأ في ابي شهر، وتعلم الفارسية والعربية، ولما بلغ الخامسة والعشرين جاهر بعقيدة ظاهرها توحيد الاديان، ولقب نفسه بالباب، وتبعته جماعة كبيرة فاعتقل، وحكم عليه بالقتل في تبريز. من تصانيفه: الرسالة العدلية في الفرائض الاسلامية، شرح سورة يوسف، والبيان.
