    علي الكَنِّي (١٢٢٠ - ١٣٠٦ هـ = ١٨٠٥ - ١٨٨٨ م) علي الكني الطهراني: أديب، من فقهاء الإمامية. ولد في قرية كن (على فرسخين من شمالي طهران) ورحل في طلب الفقه والحديث والأدب، رحلة طويلة. وعاد في أواخر أيامه إلى طهران، فتوفي بها. من كتبه " القضاء والشهادات - ط " ثلاث مجلدات، و " توضيح المقال في علم الدراية والرجال - ط " و " تحقيق الدلائل في شرح تلخيص المسائل - ط " المتن والشرح له، ويعرفان بكتاب القضاء (٣) .
