    علي الشماخي (١١٢٥ - ١١٩٩ هـ) (١٧١٣ - ١٧٨٥ م) علي بن صادق بن محمد بن ابراهيم بن حسين بن محمد الداغستاني، الشماخي، الحنفي. محدث، مفسر، مشارك في انواع من العلوم. اصله من بلدة شماخ، وولد في حدود سنة ١١٢٥ هـ، ودرس الحديث في الجامع الأموي تحت قبة النسر، وتوفي بدمشق في ١٣ ذي الحجة. من تصانيفه: رسالة في نجاة ابوي الرسول ﷺ، حاشية على رسالة الاسطرلاب، تعليقات على اماكن من تفسير البيضاوي، شرح حديث الرحمة، وحاشية على خلاصة الحساب.
