عبد الله النّابغة (٠٠٠ - ١٢٠ هـ) (٠٠٠ - ٧٣٨ م) عبد الله بن المخارق بن سليم بن حضيرة ابن قيس، ويعرف بنابغة بني شيبان. شاعر بدوي، من شعراء العصر الأموي. كان يفد إلى الشام فيمدح الخلفاء من بني أمية ويجزلون عطاءه، فمدح عبد الملك بن مروان ومن بعده من ولده، وله في الوليد مدائح كثيرة، وتوفي أيام الوليد بن يزيد نحو سنة ١٢٠ هـ. من آثاره: ديوان شعر (خ) فهرس المؤلفين بالظاهرية (ط) الأصفهاني: الأغاني ٧: ١٠٦ - ١١٣، الزركلي: الأعلام Brockelmann: g ,I: ٦١ ٢٧٩: ٤
