    عبّاس الواقفي (٠٠٠ - ١٨٦ هـ) (٠٠٠ - ٨٠٢ م) عباس بن الفضل الأنصاري، الواقفي (١)، البصري (ابو الفضل) ، من القضاة ورجال الحديث والقرآن والشعر. روى عن قرة السدوسي وغيره، وروى عنه حرب بن محمد الطائي وغيره، وولي قضاء الموصل في ايام الرشيد العباسي، وتوفي بها. له كتاب في القراءات كبير.
