    جرول الحطيئة (توفي نحو ٤٥ هـ) (٦٦٥ م) جرول بن اوس بن مالك العبسي، ويلقب بالحطيئة، وبه يعرف. شاعر مخضرم. ادرك الجاهلية والاسلام، فأسلم، ثم ارتد، وكان هجاء مرا، لم يكد يسلم من لسانه احد، وهجا أمه واباه ونفسه. من آثاره: ديوان شعر.
