    اسماعيل باطيش (٥٧٥ - ٦٥٥ هـ) (١١٧٩ - ١٢٥٧ م) اسماعيل بن هبة الله بن سعيد بن هبة الله ابن محمد الموصلي، الشافعي، المعروف بابنباطيش (عماد الدين، ابو المجد) فقيه، اصولي، محدث، لغوي، مؤرخ. سمع ببغداد، وبدمشق، ودرّس مدة بالنورية بحلب، وتوفي بها في جمادى الآخرة. من تصانيفه: طبقات الشافعية، المغني في شرح الفاظ المهذب والكلام عن رجاله للشيرازي، مشتبه النسبة، مزيل الارتياب في اثبات الكرامات، وتاريخ الموصل.
