    اسماعيل بن بردس (٧٢٠ - ٧٨٦ (١) هـ) (١٣٢٠ - ١٣٨٤ م) اسماعيل بن محمد بن بردس بن نصر بن بردس ابن رسلان البعلبكي، الحنبلي (٢) (ابو الفداء، عماد الدين) محدث، مقرىء، ناظم. ولد ببعلبك في جمادى الآخرة، وتوفي بها في شوال. من آثاره: نظم النهاية لابن الأثير في كتاب سماه الكفاية في اختصار النهاية في جزئين، ونظم تذكرة الحفاظ للذهبي، ووسيلة المتلفظ إلى كفاية المتحفظ.
